HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Education
Birth preparation is about more than knowing what happens during labor. It is also about learning how to quiet fear, soften tension, turn inward, and trust your body through the process of birth.
HypnoBirthing® offers a different kind of childbirth preparation—one that combines evidence-informed education with deep relaxation, mindfulness, visualization, breathing, and intentional practice. Over five weeks, you and your birth partner will explore both the physiology of labor and the powerful connection between the mind and body, developing skills you can practice throughout pregnancy and draw upon instinctively during birth.
Rather than approaching labor with fear or bracing against what comes next, HypnoBirthing® helps you cultivate calm, confidence, and trust in your body's ability to birth.
In this comprehensive 5-week series, you’ll explore:
How our culture has shaped the way we think about birth, including the historical roots of fear surrounding labor and how those messages can influence our expectations.
The Fear-Tension-Pain Cycle and the ways fear and tension can affect both your experience of labor and the physiological process of birth.
Deep relaxation and mind-body techniques that help you move inward during labor, including breathing, visualization, affirmations, self-hypnosis, and progressive deepening techniques.
Working with your body rather than against it, learning to recognize tension, release resistance, and create conditions that support your body’s natural birth physiology.
Trusting the process of labor, with time for reflection on your own beliefs, fears, expectations, and hopes surrounding birth.
The role of the birth partner, including practical ways your partner can protect the birth environment, support relaxation, provide physical and emotional comfort, and advocate for your preferences.
Practical preparation for birth and beyond, including choosing a provider, creating birth preferences, nutrition, movement and optimal fetal positioning, prenatal bonding, breastfeeding, and the basics of the Fourth Trimester.
Many families choose HypnoBirthing® because they want to approach birth feeling less fearful and more grounded, prepared, and connected. The techniques taught in class are designed to support relaxation and coping during labor and may also help families navigate unexpected changes while remaining centered and engaged in their birth experience.
The goal is not to create one particular kind of birth. It is to help you enter birth with tools, understanding, and a deeper sense of confidence and trust in yourself.

Your Educator
HypnoBirthing® is taught by Emily, a DFW birth and postpartum doula serving families since 2021.
Because Emily also attends births, there is a small possibility that a class may need to be rescheduled if she is called to a birth. Please reserve all six Wednesdays—September 9 through October 14—on your calendar when enrolling.
